Packing stage 1:
Includes clothes, mosquito net, malaria tablets, loads of tablets for things I've never heard of, camera, all 6 journals that I was given for Christmas, 50 pens, 6 pairs of shorts, factor 50 suncream and a compass. Sadly I'm not taking that blue foam lightsaber.
I'll let you know if all that a) fits in my bag and b) comes to under 20kg.
Apart from packing, I'm pretty much ready - today I bought envelopes and whitetack (getting security checked in Tesco in the process) and ordered some South African rands.
